Breaking nails is frustrating, especially when all you nails are all a consistent length and shape. I managed to break off the corner of my index finger nail the other day.
One of the fun things about having a skill, and am in demand skill at that, is its easy to give my time as a gift. Jordan turned 13 and she requested a dream catcher inspired manicure as her birthday present. We picked out the colors and designed it together, she has quite an eye for these things. I really enjoyed spending time with this very cool teen, and she has fabulous nails for the new school year.
I’ve been wanting to do a Klimt inspired manicure for awhile and today, rainy and quiet, was just the day to tackle it. Klimt is one of my favorite painters, I appreciate the attention to detail and depth in his work. The colors and gold leaf seem like something that could translate well to nail art.
Continuing with the rainbow theme this month I created this fun look. I alternated stripes of a light and dark polish, then drug a dotting tool out from the center. Very easy and such a cool summer look.
There are a lot of events in Fayetteville for pride month, including the pride parade which was held last weekend. I had the pleasure of riding in the parade with some friends again this year and had a blast.
Here’s a selection of nail art I’ve done lately, enjoy!
Often I will ask for input from friends when deciding what to do with my nails. This week one suggested tiger stripes, which sparked my imagination and resulted in this.
I’m loving the new “Cosmos” so decided to do a galaxy manicure in honor of the show.
I am so tickled with these nails, especially the bluebird! These are done with Gelish light cured polish, which is so nice to do nail art with.
I love Valentines Day! Not that I’m much of a romantic but it is my daughters birthday. This year she will be 15!
